Books on Farm Homoeopathy

HAWL courses are designed to help the farmer use homoeopathy as an additional tool within the farm management strategy. It is the farmer or stockperson who knows most about his or her animals and sees them regularly, who notices their behaviour and the first signs of something being "not quite right" Therefore it is the farmer or stockperson who is best placed to use homoeopathy on a day to day basis to improve herd and flock health .The aim of the HAWL courses is to empower the farmer to make these decisions and to make them responsibly and effectively. To date HAWL has published three books each written specially for farmers to help them in making these decisions..

A Simple Farm Repertory was written by Trevor Adams as part of the HAWL course and is based on his own experience as a homoeopathic vet in farm practice.

Mastitis might better be entitled "teats and udders" as it is a Repertory and Materia Medica for the dairy herd offering the dairy farmer greater detail in approaching the problems around udders, teats and milk production generally. It was written by Jenny Grist RSHom, initilly simply to help her own work on their family farm

Sheep is the work of three homoeopathic vets, all members of the HAWL teaching team and all with considerable experience of helping farmers use homoeopathy within to the day to day management strategy

The books can be ordered by through the website and cost £6.50 each including package and postage. Please email secretary@hawl.co.uk.

The Review of the Veterinary Surgeons Act

The Review of the Veterinary Surgeons Act has been going on for several years and as far as I can see no one has suggested that homoeopathy be specifically included as a permitted therapy. Click Here for a letter I have written to several MPs to ask that homoeopathy be specifically included in a revised Vet Surg Act. It would be great if as many of you as possible could send a similar letter. Also see the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths for a more general template.

About HAWL

Drawing on our combined veterinary, homoeopathic and teaching skills we have put together a course which is as unique as it is inspiring..

We have taught nearly 300 students. We aim to make the course simple, comprehensive, useful and above all fun. The teaching team are all qualified homoeopathic vets and professional homoeopaths, all with farm experience.

When we first began to use homoeopathy on Duchy farms it was difficult to find support. A course like this would have saved us such a lot of time. Today homoeopathy is one of our main methods of treatment; we find it both actually and financially effective.
